I live in a small, quiet college town in Vermont. My husband and I have been married 30 years. We are both native Vermonters and have raised four children. I cannot imagine living any other place. The winters are long and you need a craft to help you through it. I have fallen in love with my cricut!! I've always been a crafty person since I was a child and have discovered a new passion.....card making!!

Vacation!!
My husband and I are taking this next week off. Always plenty to do with the veggie and flower gardens and painting little things here and there that need to be done. It's going to a fabulous week in Vermont too. In the 80's!! My kind of weather. Love it. I have been making cards and have taken pictures but haven't posted them. I will soon. Never enough time in the day!!

Snow!!!
Yes, it's back. My father-in-law called this late spring snow a "poor man's fertilizer". The ground is covered but the roads, at least in Central Vermont, are clear. It is going to be in the high 70's to low 80's on Saturday!! Well, I'm off to church and then work.

So Busy!!
I have been so busy at work that at night I can't keep my eyes open. I did make 3 or 4 new cards over the weekend. I have pictures and just need to download them. I thought they turned out pretty cute. Last weekend was cold and a good stay in and make cards weekend. This weekend, however, is looking nice again. Ahh, weather in Vermont. It changes all the time.

5th Grade Graduation!!
Hi Everyone,
Our granddaughter celebrates graduating from the 5th grade very soon. Here is an invitation I assembled as an example (waiting for acceptance from Gabrielle and her mother). Once they have agreed to a few things, Gabrielle and I will assemble the invites. I really thought they turned out cute. Gab was born at 30 weeks and weighed less than 3 lbs. I am very proud to tell you she is in the top of her class. The A+ on the invitation, is deserving. She is a smart little girl....and I'm not saying that because she's ours!! God has blessed us.

Rain but it's looking up
It has been a rainy couple of days, but it's going to be in the 70's on Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to a warm Easter weekend. We don't usually get warm weather for Easter in Vermont.

Back to Reality!!
We have had such a wonderful March. We hit 63 on Saturday. I washed windows and doors and windows were open. We're back to reality today. Not too bad, just not in the 60's. It's going back to seasonal temps this week..30's and 40's. Spring is just around the corner!! YIPPEE.
Here are a few cards I have worked on this weekend.

First Home Owners!!
I made this card for my daughter's friend. She had bought her first home!! I really liked the way it turned out. This was from the Wild Card cartridge. I am going to try it again and get more fansy. I thought it was cute.
Sorrowful Card
Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card and I tried something different. I stamped my own background. I have taken the picture with the light in front and behind, but it is still dark. I need to figure out how to make it lighter. However, if you look closely you can see my background. It's a very simple card.
Beautiful Day in Vermont
Oh, wow, we couldn't ask for a better day in Central Vermont!! Yesterday and today have been about 45 degrees with sun, sun, and more sun. I have the front door opened and the sun is coming through the storm door and it feels so good!! My husband is washing our cars and the dogs are loving to be outside. We can't complain....we have had a great winter. I'm hoping spring is just around the corner. In Vermont though......you never know. We had a Noreaster on April 21 about 5 years ago!!! I'm just enjoying the day!!!

Anniversary Card
This is an anniversary card for my parents who will be celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary. I really like that tri-shutter card!!
Loss of a Pet
A friend of ours has lost their dog and this is a card I did over the weekend. This is a Tri-Shutter card and I learned it from Mary at Cardz TV. She does a great job.
Birthday Card
This is a birthday card I made for a 2 yr. old. She had received cowboy boots at Christmas and really loved them.

Finally!! This Blog Might Be Up and Running??
Hi Everyone,
I have worked on this blog off and on each evening for a few nights. I have slowly learned the inner workings of it. Well, sort of. It has been rather difficult and, actually, I have not found it all that user friendly. However, maybe it's me. I'm not really computer savvy.
There are so many wonderful women who have inspired me in my card making. I look forward each day to see what they have created. I hope to grow more confident in my creations.
We're being dumped on tonight with snow. We need it!! There is nothing more beautiful than snow in Vermont!!
